Growing up in São Paulo, I always looked forward to family gatherings, like birthday parties, holidays, or watching our beloved seleção. Preparing for these events was a family activity, and I vividly remember waking up in the morning to the smell of delicious flavors of Brazilian finger food being prepared by my parents. We spent hours working side by side crafting petiscos – coxinhas, pão de queijo, empanadas, brigadeiros – to be indulged in by our friends and family.
